You can add startup programs or items that run when Windows 8 starts. In previous versions of Windows like Windows 7 or XP, you could easily add items to the “Startup” folder in the startup menu.

How to add program to startup Windows 8

Step 1 : First open Windows 8 start screen (Press the Windows key or  press Windows key+R or move mouse to the bottom left of the screen and click start screen icon to open Windows 8 start screen).

Step 2 : Type %appdata% and click Enter. It will take you to “C:\Users\User-Name\AppData\Roaming folder.

Navigate to  “\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup” folder.

Full path should look like
